Due to having been a slave in the past, Freya enjoys what the city has to offer and revels in the possibility she could be whoever she wanted to be within its boundaries. Therefore, she has dedicated herself to protecting the city and its people. 


Occupation:  Pit fighter and reigning Heiros lightweight champion. She does personal training on the side on occasion if a new fighter is in need of a mentor. Member of the Airavata.

Sybal Form:  Mama Dglo

Standing at 9'0”, Freya's sybal form is a giant mass of pure muscle. Being quite heavy, she doesn't move fast or quietly. Swimming seems to be easier with an extra pair of arms however. Her body is covered in thick fur on her bear head, torso, and bear paws while scales cover her arms, lower legs, and a snake like tail. The blue fur and scales give of a faint bio luminescent glow. Her maternal instincts become more prominent.

Sybal Power:  Sanctuary

Freya's sybal power allows her to project and manipulate panels or shields of solid light reaching no more than a radius of 3m from the core of her body. Projectiles that hit the shield rebound back to their origin. The shield will only block and reflect physical objects.

While using her sybal power, she is rooted to the ground and her core is the epicenter from which the shield projects. Her power would work underwater as long as she could touch the floor but the shield provides no means of air. She always tends to leave a gap in the shield to allow for air flow. One time she didn't and she passed out. 

Docile or Feral: Docile

Despite having an aggressive presence, Freya remains completely in control of her transformation and actions. In fact, her innate desire to protect and mother others becomes more prominent as she enters her sybal form. Her desire to pick fights, however, does not seem to go away and likes to egg on more feral sybals into taking a swing at her as some part of game.

History: 

Born 1775 in Castries, St Lucia to an enslaved laundress. Freya grew helping out her mother and her 2 sisters. When she was 10, she was sold to the Union de Micoud estate and sugar plantation on the eastern part of the island. Now alone and away from her family, she spent much of her time making new familial connections with the other house workers. She had a quick tongue and hand that would get her in trouble and would be forced to do field work on occasion. In time and with encouragement, she learned to internalize those feelings.

Life was hard but uneventful until the French governor emancipated the entire island. Without any money of her own, Freya continued to work in the house and plantation. This “freedom” didn't last long when the estate was taken into the hands of the British military in 1796 while enslaving the workers. Freya escaped with several of the other slaves and joined a rebel group. Through sabotage and scuffles, Freya took her pent up resentment and aggression and started leading ambushes against British officers, slave owners, and criminals sometimes even single handedly taking some down. She grew deeply attached to her ever growing family during this time doing whatever she could to contribute to fight for them and their freedom.

One night after several years of hiding and fighting back, the war was lost and Freya, along with the others, retreated into the safety of the rainforest. As they ran, she trailed the group making sure they wouldn't be followed but in turn, through the weaving in and out of the ground cover, she had lost the others. She still ran guided at first by her instinct and then by a presence pulling her in the right direction as the sky began to slowly change from a dark blue to a warm red.

The leaves and bark around her shifted. Freya didn't notice until she broke from the forest's edge greeted by the sun and Theo.

Freya settled into Sybal Heim in the Heiros district confused and lost at first. She was free? Where had her family gone? Knowing nothing else all her life, she began to work cleaning houses and cleaning laundry. In her free time, she learned about other cultures and she began to become particularly interested in the sport and martial arts each culture had to offer. Quitting her job after only a year, she took up to learning how to fight and participated in competitions and tournaments in all districts.

After 12 years of fighting for fun, Freya went to attempt to join the Airavata. Through proving her fighting prowess, and loyalty to the city and its organizer, she is working on becoming a member of this elite fighting force willing to protect the citizens of the city at any cost.
